Bore-holes are systems used to pump water under ground. It is one of the methods used in many rural areas in Uganda. Being that this system is manualy operated, many bore-holes get broken and this hinders water supply to the users. One bore hole serves 570 households in a village. When they get broken, it is very expensive for the community to repair one. We thank Chris, Neslie and friends for helping to repair Mawotto community bore-holes. It is the same kind request we share with any one of you that we have over 170 broken bore holes from the Kimenyedde community that requires to be fixed to enable us extend clean and safe water to the Kimenyedde community. Many have resorted to fetch water from open sources such as ponds where mosquitoes breed from.
Also these open water sources are sources of water for community animals. This has put lives of these communities at a risk of water borne diseases and other related illness. With a donation of $55, can help repair one bore-holes plus replacing broken parts
